ANVIL Schedules Pennsylvania In-Store

Canadian metal legends ANVIL will take part in a signing session at the Oxford Valley Best Buy in Fairless Hills, Pennsylvania on January 17 between 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m.They will be signing copies of the "Anvil! The Story Of Anvil" DVD and "This Is Thirteen" CD. Items must be purchased at the Oxford Valley Best Buy the day of the show in order to be signed. There will also be a raffle set up in the store shortly to win an autographed guitar and two pairs of tickets for the show that evening at the Theater of the Living Arts in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

ANVIL kicks off the "Droppin' The Anvil" 2010 North American Tour on January 7, 2010 at the House Of Blues in Cleveland. Originally the plan for the tour was to show the "Anvil! The Story Of Anvil!" movie and then have the band perform live after the film. This been changed to having local acts open in each market.

"Anvil! The Story of Anvil", was honored in the "Feature Documentary" category during the 2009 International Documentary Association Documentary Awards on December 4 at the DGA Theater in Los Angeles.

According to Documentary.org, "Anvil! The Story of Anvil" took home two prizes, having already won the previously-announced IDA "Music Documentary" award. During a taped introduction to the film, "The Office" actor Rainn Wilson called the film about the long-struggling metal band, a "heavy metal hymn to the human spirit."
